Choose your own adventure summer reading challenge

Welcome to Abiding Academy’s Choose Your Adventure Summer Reading Challenge. The challenge this year is up to you! YOU CHOOSE your goals, your books, and your prizes.

Recommended Books:  Our teachers at Abiding Academy have come up with a recommended list of age-appropriate classical books here. YOU CHOOSE whether you want to read those books or not. There is also a Bible reading plan here. 

Receiving your Prize:

1st – 5th Grade

After each 100 minutes of reading, simply stop into Abiding Savior during the day, and ask the receptionist for the reading prize box. Then, YOU CHOOSE your prize! After 500 minutes, let them know and YOU CHOOSE which water bottle you’d like to have. 

6th – 12th Grade

Patience is a virtue. But, as they say, good things come to those who wait. Keep track of the books you read during the summer, and when you come back in the fall, YOU CHOOSE between several prize options. All 6th – 12th grade can choose to earn vouchers for a free treat from The Candy Closet, which will be open certain lunch hours next fall. Additionally, 9th – 12th graders will have the opportunity to earn a Door Dash Pass, which can be redeemed for permission to order food to be delivered by Door Dash (you pay, we only offer permission).
