Abiding Savior Academy education encompasses the whole person. We believe participation in extracurricular activities is an opportunity for students to foster interest in lifelong hobbies, to develop character, and to build a strong connection within their community. We recognize the value extracurricular activities provide as students grow in their abilities, confidence, and character, discovering ways they have been uniquely gifted to glorify God.
While we are prioritizing the development of solid, foundational core academic offerings in our current growth stage, we are also working to offer valuable extracurricular activities that complement and round out the academic experience and foster community and character growth. Because students’ interests are varied and their giftings unique, providing specific opportunities for every student is not feasible. However, our Activities Director can help parents through the process of identifying opportunities available at the Academy, but also through partnerships such as Abiding Savior Free Lutheran Church, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and other local organizations.

House System
Our Upper School House System draws from Oxford’s 13th-century model for academic and social organization, which we use to strengthen community and embody classroom virtues through mentorship and teamwork.
The Houses of Abiding Savior Academy exist to glorify God by shaping a vibrant school culture that promotes fellowship, ministry, service, and leadership. In the House System, students are sorted into one of four houses and will remain in that house until graduation. These houses are named after renowned master archers—Legolas, Odysseus, Robin Hood, and William Tell—each representing a core virtue: temperance, fortitude, justice, and prudence.
The mission at Abiding Savior Academy is to model and provide a classical Christian education that shapes the affections of students to love truth, goodness, and beauty so that they become confident disciples who impact their world for Jesus Christ. The House System supports this mission by providing meaningful opportunities for leadership, mentoring, fellowship, ministry, service, and competition, encouraging the growth of students into faithful young Christian men and women.
